Our Chemical and Digital Technologies specialisation is designed to develop the skills chemical and biomolecular engineers require to lead change and successfully adapt to new technologies and operating practices now and in the future.   

It is designed to deepen your knowledge in digitising the industries using advanced technologies in process instrumentation and control, process modelling, industrial communication, human-computer interface, connectivity, machine learning, IoT (IoT), and industrial robotics. 

There are opportunities to experience emerging technologies through practical activities and laboratory work in several key industries and learn how to select, adapt, and evaluate digital processing options. 

Graduate opportunities

As a graduate of our Chemical and Digital Technologies specialisation, you will possess the technical engineering skills required to help overcome the current challenges faced by companies undergoing a digital transformation. 

You will be able to apply your knowledge and understanding of implementing technological solutions into working systems and processes across several industries, such as manufacturing, cybersecurity, and energy.

You may pursue a potential career as a control systems engineer, data scientist, automation engineer or project manager.
