Specialisation

Our Internet of Things (IoT) specialisation explores the components that make up IoT: the sensors that collect data, the communication networks for data transmission and the data analytics applications for evaluating data and making decision.

In this specialisation, you will gain the knowledge of these three key aspects of IoT by combining the study of telecommunications, electrical and computer engineering, with an emphasis on wireless communications, networks, sensor devices, data technologies and its applications in smart grids and critical infrastructure.

The specialisation aims to offer a comprehensive program with state of the art IoT technologies so you can engage in the creative development of the innovative Internet of Things.

As a graduate of our Internet of Things (IoT) specialisation, you will be prepared to work in an evolving world connected by smart objects, platforms and environments via the internet.

IoT has been identified as the next big technology development enabling significant society changes and economic growth, at a predicted annual rate of 20%.

The intelligent network for automatic interaction and processing between objects and environments will become an inherent part of areas such as electricity, transportation, industrial control, retail, utilities management, healthcare, water resources management and mining.

Its great market potential is attracting investments from governments, telecom operators, manufacturers and industry users.
