Bachelor of Commerce
What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Commerce is typically made up of 144 credit points, inclusive of core, majors, minors, plus additional units of study. Full-time students usually take four units per semester – refer to the Sample course plan below.
Core
You’ll complete four compulsory units, called core units (24 credit points), most of them in your first year. These form the foundations of your degree.
Major or program
You’ll choose an area of specialisation within business – from Accounting to Marketing and many more. Each major has a defined set of units (48 credit points) that you’ll complete during your degree. Some of these units are mandatory and others are for your choosing.
For all available majors, see the “Business” list below under Subject areas.
Minor or second major
Choose either a minor (36 credit points) or a second major (48 credit points) from either the Business faculty or from the shared pool, which offers majors or minors from other faculties.
For all available majors and minors, see the list of subject areas below.
Additional study
Round out your degree with electives from any discipline, or explore our Open Learning Environment, with focused units in areas like coding, ethics, entrepreneurial and design thinking, and project management.
