The Sustainability, Climate and Health Collaboration (SCHC) was established in late 2020 and hosted byÌýSchool of Public Health, University of Sydney. We aim to enhance and promote collaborations in research and build capacity to address sustainability, climate and health.

Our research

The SCHC comprises senior, mid and early-career public health researchers of diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise related to sustainability, climate and health, adopting both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Monthly meetings (Online)

The group meets on the last Thursday of every month, 12-1pm Sydney Time. There will be presentations on various topics and discussions about funding opportunities, resources and support.

Annual Symposium (In-person and online) - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

The annual forum brings together researchers, practitioners and policy makers to share interdisciplinary work on advancing climate resilient and sustainable health practice. In the era of compounding disaster threats, the theme of this year's event will be 'Building resilience at all levels'.Ìý

The Aims of this year's event are:

  • To provide a friendly environment for expanding our networks and knowledge across scales from local to international
  • To share interdisciplinary perspectives on the intersections between health, climate, environment and sustainability.
  • To provide opportunities for HDRs and ECRs to meet one another, share research and develop their research strategies
