University of Sydney

  • Pride Network – supporting the inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) members of our community.

University of Sydney Union (USU)

  • - a society at the University that organises social events for LGBTIQ students and their friends.
  • - an all-singing, all-dancing comedic production put on at the Seymour Centre every year by queer and queer-friendly students.
  • ) - aims to create a community where people of colour can explore the intersection of their queer and cultural identities.
  • - a society for LGBTQIA+ STEM students and allies to create a supportive and inclusive environment within the STEM faculty. Our hope is to advocate for queer students in STEM and improve their visibility, pushing to make STEM a more inclusive field in the process.

Postgraduate

Community support

  • - a community-based, non-profit, state-wide organisation providing a range of support services for people of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities, their families and communities.
  • - a Sydney-based not-for-profit that actively promotes LGBT and health, and runs regular workshops targeted at providing support and health awareness.
  • - Australia's first nationally-oriented counselling and referral service for people who are LGBTI.
  • - The national peak health organisation in Australia for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on LGBTI and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse people and communities.
  • - services for the transgender and gender diverse community, their partners, family members and friends including accommodation, counselling, education and training.
  •  - a national body by and for people with intersex variations, promoting human rights and bodily autonomy for intersex people, education and peer support.
  • - provides intersex peer support, information and is an advocacy group for people born with variations in sex characteristics and their families.
  • - Australia's largest youth-led network for LGBTI youth, providing support and peer mentoring to LGBTI young leaders.
  • - The Ankali Project trains and supports volunteers who then provide emotional and social support to people living with HIV.
  • - is committed to empowering the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQ+SB community through innovation, inclusion, understanding and advocacy.
  • - ACON’s digital information and resource platform for all trans and gender diverse (TGD) people in NSW, our loved ones, allies and health providers.
  • - a directory of LGBTQIA+ multicultural community groups and services in NSW.
  • - is an Australian organisation dedicated to advocating for LGBTIQ+ individuals who have been forcibly displaced from their homes due to their gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • - an online sexual health and wellbeing initiative for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men.
  • - is a peak body for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer individuals, and community groups of multicultural and multifaith backgrounds.

Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ and employment

  • - the national not-for-profit employer support program for LGBTI workplace inclusion, specialising in HR, organisational change and workplace diversity.
  • - supporting and mentoring aspiring LGBTIQ professionals as they navigate their way through the early stages of their careers.
  • - providing scholarships to LGBTI+ students who are marginalised or disadvantaged.

Rights

  • - promotes anti-discrimination, equal opportunity principles and policies throughout NSW and administers anti-discrimination laws of the state.
  • - identifies and builds community awareness around the human rights issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people and makes it unlawful to discriminate against such persons.
  • - shares legal, policy and communications expertise, to ensure that organisations have the right tools to deliver for the LGBTIQ+ community.
  • - provides free and confidential legal service statewide for the NSW LGBTIQ community. They also run the Safe Relationship Project, which assists LGBTIQ individuals who are experiencing or escaping an abusive relationship.
  • - a trans led organisation with a mission to build a powerful movement standing up for justice, freedom, and equality for all trans and gender diverse people.
