In March, we launched , a suite of six flagship research themes that humanities and social sciences at the University of Sydney will become known for over the next few years. The research themes were selected through a competitive process, and through collaboration with industry and community groups aim to design tomorrow鈥檚 solutions to issues of global importance. The six themes are; , , , , and .

We celebrated our annual Alumni Awards in May and were proud to have Faculty of Arts and Social Science alumna win the Professional Achievement award. Susan is a successful business woman and is currently CEO and Managing Director of Mirvac Property Group.

We continued our longstanding partnership with this year with more than 30 of our academics, researchers and graduates appearing alongside some of the world鈥檚 most exciting international writers and thinkers. Our cultural collaborations continued with the in June. This year we highlighted the depth and breadth of our research through featuring talented academics from across the University.
