Undertaking a science PhD or masters by research at Sydney allows you to work with researchers at the forefront of their fields.

Our science research degrees involve in-depth study in a specialised area. This will require you to prepare a substantial piece of work that represents a significant contribution to a particular field of knowledge, giving you a good understanding of research methodology. You will also be required to complete coursework, from a range of postgraduate research units available.

Your development as a researcher starts during orientation, which includes sessions on drafting literature reviews, preparing research proposals and presenting research developments.

Over 270+ coursework units of studyÌýare available to you throughout your candidature.

Opportunities are also available to grow professionally and academically through aÌýpaid 3-6 month internshipÌýwith an industry partner as you complete your degree.
