Why study agriculture and food with us?

Feeding the world is big business. Whether you’d like to make the next ag-tech breakthrough that contributes to the health of the planet and its people, strengthen food security, or sustain the world’s natural resources and biodiversity, studying animal- and crop-based agricultural science will give you the knowledge and skills you need to make it happen.

You can choose a specialist agricultural science degree, with the option of including a food science major, or choose to undertake an agriculture or food science-related major, minor or electives within one of our other degrees.

The benefits of studying with us include:

  • Our specialised agriculture and food programs include hands-on laboratory, field and industry experience relevant to your area of study.
  • Depending on your chosen study area, you'll be able to access facilities in Camden for plant breeding and animal production, Narrabri for plant breeding and digital agriculture facilities, and specially designed food sciences labs at the Australian Technology Park.
