As a student, it is your responsibility to:

- familiarise yourself with your rights and responsibilities around Freedom of Expression at the University of SydneyÌý
- act in accordance with the values and principles of mutual Âresponsibility and expectations between staff, students and the University as set out in the University of Sydney Student Charter (pdf, 221KB)
- read and understand your Conditions of Enrolment
- make sure your enrolment is correct at all times
- know all important dates regarding changes to your enrolment
- pay all student contributions or fees by the date due
- read and understand the University Privacy Statement
- check your University student email account regularly, read all University correspondence, and respond promptly where required
- keep your address and phone details up to date in
- make sure you’re familiar with the rules that govern your course outlined in the Coursework Rule (pdf, 484KB ) and associated Coursework Policy (pdf, 584KB). For research students, this is provided in the University of Sydney (Higher Degree by Research) Rule
- know the rules of your course, outlined in your faculty handbook
- help foster a safe and welcoming campus environment by acting in accordance with our Campus Access Policy (pdf, 806KB).
