If you are from the United States, Canada, Sweden, Norway or Denmark, you may be eligible to apply for education loan schemes from your home country. Australia Award scholarships are also available if you come from a participating country.
The University of Sydney administers the United States Federal Student Aid Direct Loan Program to US citizens or eligible non-citizens who meet the eligibility criteria.
Four types of Direct Loans available
Depending on your grade level, for example undergraduate, graduate, first year and so on, you may be eligible to borrow the full cost of attendance each year. The cost of attendance is a calculation of tuition and associated fees plus living expenses.

Each year, the University supports around 200 Australia Award recipients undertaking tertiary studies in Australia. These scholarships are offered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to students from partner countries, in areas relevant to their country’s development needs.
