Childhood discipline experiences and emotions in adulthood

Have you ever wondered how parental discipline strategies experienced in childhood relate to emotions later in life?

This study investigates the relationship between childhood experiences of time-out (i.e. naughty corner, reflection time) and emotional development in adulthood.
By participating in this study, you will be asked a series of online questionnaires about your childhood experiences of parenting discipline strategies, the parenting style used by your main caregiver, and emotional tendencies in adulthood. Demographic information will also be collected. All information is completely anonymous.
The study takes no more than 30 minutes and can be completed online using any device, though a computer/laptop is recommended. Participants may be located in any country internationally.

We are seeking the views of young adults between the ages of 18 to 30 who are fluent in English. Individuals who were brought up by at least one main caregiver through birth to 8 years of age will be eligible to participate in the study.Ìý
