Elsie Jean Dalyell is a highly distinguished University of Sydney graduate and was the first full-time female academic at the Sydney Medical School. After serving in World War I, Elsie conducted pioneering work in Vienna on childhood diseases.
Her academic excellence and commitment to creating her own path are hallmarks of our Dalyell Scholars stream.

As a Dalyell Scholar, you will complete distinctive Dalyell units of study with other high achievers and have access to the following enrichment opportunities.
There are three ways you can become a Dalyell Scholar.
You will be invited to become a Dalyell Scholar if you achieve an ATAR of 98 or above (or equivalent), apply for, and are offered a place in one of the following degrees.
You can apply to the following degrees that offer Dalyell Scholars units of study embedded within the course.
You will be invited to enter the Dalyell Scholar stream via some admission pathways based on achieving the following ATAR or above (or equivalent).
